Growing Out to Serve and Share Christ with the World
We "grow out" when we serve in our church and love those outside our church. Some of the ways in which we grow out at KIUMC include supporting local, national and foreign missions; through evangelism; with our Caring Lay Ministry Team, Celebrate Recovery and GriefShare programs.
Below are other ways in which we serve our local community.

Teacher Appreciation Gifts
Just before the start of local public elementary and middle schools in our community, baskets containing treats and a blessing card were delivered to teachers, administrators and staff.
Homeless Shelter
Local charity group Haven Ministries operates a homeless shelter at KIUMC during the fall and winter months. For more information please contact: Sandi Wiscott, Haven Ministries Director of Operations, Shelter, and Housing, 410-739-7859.
Missions Team History
Our Missions Team had a successful trip in September 2019 being the hands and feet of Jesus in Ocracoke Island, North Carolina. These men and women stayed there for several days to assist the community with clean up from Hurricane Dorian flood damage. Here are a few pictures from their trip.
